- About the Position:
Position responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to functions pertaining to accuracy, quality and timeliness of transactions involving customer(s) inventory, meeting customer requirements for maintenance and sanitation of the warehouse and ensuring that security standards are met.
- The facility is a food grade distribution center currently at 500,000 square feet and may grow to 900,000 square feet within 2 years
- The facility currently provides services to three (3) independent customer business units. Staffing is currently 300 associates, up from 50 associates in the last 5 months.
- The facility will maintain food-grade status and will have annual HACCP certification reviews. The facility has at least two GMP kitting areas. Facility operates 7 days a week across multiple shifts.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Position will have the following folks reporting to him/her: Two (2) Supervisors, a mix of permanent and temporary hourly picking, wrapping and loading associates.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Customer Outbound Team. Use performance management to set goals and objectives for all direct reports, performing quarterly reviews on them.
- Assist General Manager with the implementation and maintenance of all Kenco Programs.
- Assist General Manager with developing a Safety First – Lean Culture which focuses on Continuous Improvement.
- Ensures all shipping data is accurate and reported in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the customer, developing a strong partnership.
- Participates in weekly departmental update meetings with the leadership team.
- Works closely with the site staff to sustain any AIB/HACPP Food Grade Certification impacted by lot number or expiry date controls.
- Assist General Manager in development of career path opportunities for staff.
- Responsible for working with Supervisors to determine scheduling and staffing needs due to fluctuations in the customers’ transaction volumes.
- Facility will operate on a robust WMS system with all warehouse functions RF.

- Ensures all discrepancy issues are researched and corrected in a timely manner.
- Manages associates to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, personnel policies and workload leveling.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively compose routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees of the organization.
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
- Education/Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four year college and a minimum of 4 years’ related experience in inventory, production planning/scheduling, purchasing and supply/demand planning.
- Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- WES/CWIC systems experience a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
- Lean and Six Sigma experience a plus.
- Food grade/AIB experience with lot number and expiry dates a plus.
- B2B experience a plus.
- Broken case, full case and pallet picking experience a plus.
- Value Added services such as kitting and packaging experience a plus.
